  • Responsibilities

    • Assist in planning, managing, monitoring, and controlling the execution of digital initiatives from beginning to end.

    • Manage team’s activities in a project management system Trello.

    • Ensure that all campaigns & projects launch on time, meeting all requirements.

    • See the “big picture,” understand the dependencies between projects, and ensure quality runs throughout our execution.

    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    • Manage relationships across the teams and find innovative ways to get things done in a fast-paced environment.

    Requirements

    • Experience working in a team lead role.

  • Responsibilities

    • Develop, draft, and publish original content for Media Smart Citizens’ multi-media channels.

    • Work closely with the video production and marketing teams to collaborate on branded content creation.

    • Develop newsletter content and promotional materials.

    • Research new ideas for content on media and information literacy.

    Requirements

    • Excellent written and verbal communication.

    • Prior writing or reporting experience, including classwork or school publications.

    • Organized with attention to detail, values fact-checking and editing.

    • Prior research experience in any capability is a plus.

    • Fluency in Spanish, Chinese, French, or Russian languages is a plus.

    • Available for 5-10 hours per week, remote working.

  • Responsibilities

    • Manage ongoing website improvement on Squarespace, including design and functionality.

    • Work to continually optimize the site’s look and performance, including collaboration with the marketing and content development teams.

    • Drive and manage design rebranding efforts; suggest design changes.

    • Ensure data and content quality across platforms and websites.

    Requirements

    • Prior experience with Squarespace.

    • Website management, digital marketing/communications, and content management experience.

    • Graphic design and video integration skills.

    • An eye for design.

    • Excellent communication and writing skills.

    • Ability to work independently and with members of a cooperative team.

    • Adaptable, organized, and flexible.

    • Available for 5-10 hours per week, remote working.

    • Expertise in HTML, CSS, & JavaScript is a big plus.

  • Responsibilities

    • Work with the production team to research, pitch, produce, shoot and edit video for various formats.

    • Work with content strategist and social media manager to develop quality content that maintains brand identity.

    • Develop, conceive and execute original motion graphics/animations from pitch through publication with a sophisticated understanding of how to tailor storytelling for diverse audiences.

    • Shooting b roll, video and audio editing as necessary.

    Requirements

    • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs related to video and photo design. (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere).

    • Video animation and graphic design experience.

    • Sound editing experience.

    • An eye for design.

    • Excellent communication and writing skills.

    • Ability to work independently and with members of a cooperative team.

    • Adaptable, organized, and flexible.

    • Available for 5-10 hours per week, remote working.

  • Responsibilities

    • Build and implement social media strategy for Media Smart Citizens across primary channels (Instagram and LinkedIn).

    • Create actionable plans to grow engagement and followers via analytics.

    • Curate interesting and trendy content related to topics of media and information literacy.

    • Oversee the digital marketing budget to promote content in keeping with established branding and suggest design updates as applicable.  

    • Write copy, create graphics, and manage the publishing calendar.

    • Audience development via analytics.

    • Monitor data analytics and test new ways of presenting content as appropriate 

    Requirements

    • Available for 3 to 5 hours a week remotely.

    • Familiarity with social media, especially Instagram and Linkedin.

    • An eye for design, proficient in Canva.

    • Up-to-date with current events and social media trends.

    • Ability to think outside of the box and find ways to creatively engage with social audiences.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication.

    • Organized with attention to detail, values fact-checking and editing.

    • Prior experience with social media analytics and graphic design is a plus
