Creating spaces for women to share their stories with one another and lift each other up in their industry is one of the most important things we can do to create a culture of empowerment and equality in any industry we are a part of. With that in mind, we would like to introduce you to Media x Women (Media by Women,) an independent organization committed to fostering diversity, equality, and inclusion in the media industry. The team at Media x Women has created a community of like-minded media professionals, which serves as a network and resource for women on the rise. Media x Women (MxW) works tirelessly to empower and uplift their community through amplifying the positive impact of media made by women, and awakening media organizations to the impressive potential of female talent.

The rapidly growing network that Media x Women has created is one of the fastest-growing communities of young media professionals across the globe. Focused on opening doors for young professionals in the industry, MxW leverages its impressive list of members to create exciting opportunities for women who are new to the media industry. In addition, the team at Media x Women creates content focused on how women can work smarter, not harder, and helps them with tips and tricks to hack the inner workings of the male-dominated media industry. With their incredibly diverse and globally-minded team, Media x Women has launched multiple ventures within their organization and has created a podcast, blog, and maintains a thriving social media presence.

How She Made It™️ is Media x Women’s podcast that celebrates career journeys and informs young professionals about industry opportunities. It relays stories of industry leaders from across the globe. The first season, launched in Fall 2020, features journalists, social media strategists, multimedia professionals, media attorneys, and innovators from Disney Plus, NBC Entertainment, Huffington Post, Daily Mail, and more. It is available on Apple, Google, Spotify, and the Media x Women website.

work/play is a blog created by the team at Media x Women. It helps women across the globe connect and share resources in the form of advice, skills, and opportunities. The blog is dedicated to creating original content that can be valuable for women entering the media industry or already in the industry. It is a platform for women to connect with other women alike, get mentorship advice, career-related help, and advance resources. work/play aims to create meaningful and valuable original content that amplifies women's positive impact in the media industry.

Media x Women’s social media presence is very carefully curated and designed with a specific focus on audience engagement through a variety of platforms including Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

Volunteers and interns will get hands-on experience in areas that are compatible with their abilities, career goals, and studies. All positions are unpaid.
